CONDITIONS I WORK WITH
Pain can show up in many different ways, and where you feel it isn’t always the only area worth exploring. I’ve created these guides to explain how I approach some of the most common pain and mobility problems I see in my Austin practice.
A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO PAIN RELIEF IN AUSTIN
Pain doesn’t always behave as simply as we would like. Where you feel discomfort may be important, but it isn’t necessarily the only area worth exploring. Movement, previous injuries, sensitivity, activity, stress, sleep, and the nervous system can all influence how pain is experienced.
My approach combines hands-on work with movement, assisted stretching, positioning, and practical self-care. Rather than following the same routine with every person, I pay attention to what changes your symptoms and what helps you move more comfortably.
Sessions are individualized around what you’re experiencing. Sometimes that means working directly with the painful area. Other times we may explore surrounding regions or movements that appear to influence how you feel. The goal is to find useful changes and give you practical options rather than simply repeating the same treatment every visit.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A SESSION
Every session is different because every person comes in with a different history, different symptoms, and different goals. I start by looking at what you’re experiencing, how you move, and what seems to change the way you feel.
From there, sessions may include hands-on work, assisted stretching, movement, positioning, and self-care strategies. I work on both a massage table and floor mats depending on what gives us the best options for addressing the problem.
My goal is not simply to provide temporary relief. I want you to leave with a better understanding of your body, practical things you can do on your own, and more options for improving how you feel and move.
